Floor / Ticket / Landscape
2009
Variable size
Materials: Plaster and foam, Video
Visitors became part of the exhibition while walking on the white floor and cracking the plaster. The first days you could hear a cracking sound while walking on it. The other piece “Ticket” was a white piece of paper stamped to an unrecognizable pattern after a week of transport in Berlins S-trains. The third piece was a video where you saw footsteps walking in a moonlike landscape with disappearing tracks. Is it possible to turn back time? A room filled with sounds, smell of drying plaster created an immersive space for reflection, tactility and presence and showcased in a short amount of time a wish to let time stand still.
